on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libdbus-glib2.0-cil
libdbus-glib2.0-cil is:
dbus-sharp is a fork of ndesk-dbus, which is a C# implementation of
D-Bus. It’s often referred to as “managed D-Bus” to avoid confusion
with existing bindings (which wrap libdbus).
D-Bus is a message bus, used for sending messages between
applications. Conceptually, it fits somewhere in between raw sockets
and CORBA in terms of complexity.
This package provides integration into the GLib mainloop and contains
the dbus-sharp-glib library itself.
There are three methods to install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get

and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdbus-glib2.0-cil Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
using apt-get

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
using apt

sudo apt -y install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
Install libdbus-glib2.0-cil Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdbus-glib2.0-cil
How To Uninstall libdbus-glib2.0-cil on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libdbus-glib2.0-cil
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdbus-glib2.0-cil
Uninstall libdbus-glib2.0-cil And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdbus-glib2.0-cil
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdbus-glib2.0-cil
Remove libdbus-glib2.0-cil Configurations and Data
To remove libdbus-glib2.0-cil
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdbus-glib2.0-cil
Remove libdbus-glib2.0-cil configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdbus-glib2.0-cil
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdbus-glib2.0-cil
