on Ubuntu 20.04.
What is libdebug0-dev
libdebug0-dev is:
This library contains routines needed by many of the authors
other programs. It includes utilities to aid in debugging of
programs.
Some of the features currently supported by this library are
memory leak detection, hex dumping, and logging. The logging
system is especially useful. It adds syntax highlighting for
different log levels in debugging mode. There are different
modes for printing to console and files, duplicate line
detection and lots of other small things which makes life
simpler for the programmer.
This package contains files needed if you wish to use libdebug
in your own programs.
There are three methods to install libdebug0-dev
on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libdebug0-dev Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libdebug0-dev
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libdebug0-dev
Install libdebug0-dev Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libdebug0-dev
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libdebug0-dev
Install libdebug0-dev Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libdebug0-dev
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libdebug0-dev
How To Uninstall libdebug0-dev on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the libdebug0-dev
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libdebug0-dev
Uninstall libdebug0-dev And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libdebug0-dev
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libdebug0-dev
Remove libdebug0-dev Configurations and Data
To remove libdebug0-dev
configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libdebug0-dev
Remove libdebug0-dev configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libdebug0-dev
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libdebug0-dev
