What is libxpa1
libxpa1 is:
The XPA messaging system provides seamless communication between many kinds
of Unix programs, including X programs and Tcl/Tk programs. It also provides
an easy way for users to communicate with these XPA-enabled programs by
executing XPA client commands in the shell or by utilizing such commands in
scripts. Because XPA works both at the programming level and the shell level,
it is a powerful tool for unifying any analysis environment: users and
programmers have great flexibility in choosing the best level or levels at
which to access XPA services, and client access can be extended or modified
easily at any time.
This package contains the shared library.
There are three methods to install libxpa1
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install libxpa1 Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install libxpa1
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install libxpa1
Install libxpa1 Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install libxpa1
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install libxpa1
Install libxpa1 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install libxpa1
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install libxpa1
How To Uninstall libxpa1 on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the libxpa1
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove libxpa1
Uninstall libxpa1 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall libxpa1
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove libxpa1
Remove libxpa1 Configurations and Data
To remove libxpa1
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge libxpa1
Remove libxpa1 configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove libxpa1
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge libxpa1
